Farm Link and Start Date

Where to find your FarmTown USER ID.

You must be logged into the Slashkey Website to be able to see your USER ID.
You can use this method if you only have one farm or have more than one farm.

First Login to your account on the Slashkey Website.

Once you are logged in and load Farm Town, you can locate where your USER ID number is by scrolling down past your game screen and also down past the yellow box underneath it.

Look for the long number just after "Your USER ID number is: ....... "

Example of what this looks like. This Users ID is 00000000 , YOUR number will be different and may be longer.

Make a note of that number.
You will need it to create a link to your farm.
You will also need to provide that number when requesting help in the forum when your farm data needs to be checked.

If your game will not finish loading, Your USER ID also shows at the very bottom of the Facility Wall Requests and the Other Wall Requests pages.

Create your farm link:

If you do not know your Farm Town USER ID or where to find it, go to the previous post
OR CLICK HERE to get it before you proceed.

When you have your FarmTown USER ID:

To create a farm link, highlight the code below from https to the end of that line, then right click your mouse to copy it:

When copied the code, find somewhere you want to paste it, then right click and Paste what you have just copied into something you can use on your device like a Word document, Notepad, forum post for example.

When you have pasted the code, at the end of the line JUST AFTER the equals sign, without any spaces, type your Farm Town USER ID number. Always check that you have not added any spaces in the link by mistake or your link will not be correct!

The link will then look similar to this one. The only difference will be that the red zeros we have added in the picture at the end of the link, would be your USER ID number so will be different numbers and could be more digits:

You can then copy the new link that has your USER ID in it, which is now your Farm Link, when you want to send your link to a farming friend or paste it in a post on the Slashkey Forum.

Posting your farm link in the Forum:

Registering to play Farm Town does not automatically register you with a Slashkey Forum Account! They are TWO separate Slashkey accounts!

If you have both a Slashkey Website account AND a Slashkey Forum account, to be able to post in the forum you will need to make sure you are using the correct login details to login to your Slashkey Forum account so that you can post.

When you are logged into your Slashkey Forum account you can also you can copy/paste or type your farm link into your post.

When posting in the Forum there is a Quick Reply message posting box at the bottom of each thread in the forum that is open for posting, like this one:

When you have typed or pasted your farm link, you can then add your message to the reply box and then click on either Reply or Post Quick Reply at the bottom, to post your message on the forum.

Use the Farm Selector Manager to get your farm link:

You can only use this method when you can load your farms AND you have more than one farm!

This method requires a keyboard and using keyboard shortcuts.

It's another way to get your farm link for a friend or to add it to your post when posting in the forum when you don't want your farm link to show in every post.

STEP A: Log into the Website using your Slashkey website registration details and load Farm Town.

STEP B: Click on your Toolbox to open it.

STEP C: Click on the Farm Selector Manager to open it. A window will open showing you the names of all of your Farms.

STEP D: At the bottom of that window Click on

A brief notification in white lettering will appear then disappear.

STEP E: Click on the name of the farm you want to copy the link to and a box will appear showing you the farm link for that farm.

STEP F: When you see that box appear, to copy that link you need to use your keyboard keys.

The common highlight method to copy the link will not work in this area!

Windows Users press CTRL and C keys on your keyboard to copy the link.

Mac Users press the (Command/Cmd) key ⌘ and C keys on your keyboard to copy the link.

The CTRL and Command keys are usually to the left or right of the space bar on most keyboards.

When you have copied the link, click on the red X to close the box.

IMPORTANT!!! - BEFORE you copy anything else! Go to where you need to post the link.

In the forum you can post in areas like the Quick Reply box at the bottom of open threads in Neighbour/Buddy Requests, Help and Support threads and the latest open New Release threads.

Click inside the message box. To paste the farm link:

Windows Users press the CTRL and V keys on your keyboard to paste what you copied.

Putting your Farm Link in your Forum Signature.

If you prefer not to find your farm link and paste it every time you post in the Forum
you can add it to your Forum Signature so it shows in every post.

Your own FarmTown farm links and your own Facebook profile link can be put in your signature.
Do NOT put any other links your signature!

You will need your farm link!
If you do not have it yet use one of the several methods listed previously in this thread to get it, then return to this post. There are also links at the bottom of this post that will take you back to the one you need.

Top left of the Forum click on User CP.
Click on Edit Signature which is down the left hand side of your screen under the Settings & Options section.
Paste or type your link into the Edit Signature box. Example of what you could type in it:
THEN scroll down to the bottom and there are 2 options:
- Preview Signature will let you see what your signature will look like before you save it.
- Save Signature will save what you typed into your Signature

Now you know the basics, if you wish, you can create links that would take you to a few specific farms and add those to your signature.

Here's how:

Either get each link for a specific farm using the Farm Selector Manager and paste those, one at a time, into the Edit Signature box making sure there is at least one clear space between each farm link OR at the very end of each link you can click Enter on your keyboard so the next farm link is underneath the first one.

You can use the Preview Signature to see what it will look like before you save it. If you use Preview your signature will show above the Edit Signature box.

When you are done remember to click Save Signature.
OR if you want to manually make them you can copy the farm link you made in Create your Farm Link and at the end of the link, after your ID number you need to add a little more code at the end which is &farm_ix=Y

Examples:

Your farm link you made previously, looks like this, remember, you replaced the red 0s with your ID numbers.

What you add at the very end of a link will make the farm link go to a specific farm.
Remember no-one can visit a Private farm so any link to a Private farm would take the farmer to one that was not Private.

A specific farm link to a default farm can be like this (again your ID replaces the red zeros)
There are NO spaces after the USER ID number:

Your Farm Link would then look like this for your default farm:

Y at the end means your default farm, no matter how many times you change which farm is your default farm.

For a different farm just change the Y at the end to...

0 for your 1st farm,
1 for your 2nd farm,
2 for your 3rd farm,
3 for your 4th farm,
4 for your 5th farm
and so on.

Make sure you leave at least one clear space between each link you put in the Edit Signature box

OR at the very end of each link you can click Enter on your keyboard so the next farm link is underneath the first one.

You can use the Preview Signature to see what it will look like before you save it. If you use Preview your signature will show above the Edit Signature box.

When you are done remember to click Save Signature.

NOTE: Your signature can NOT contain more than 500 characters so you will NOT be able to fit many links for yours farms in your Forum Signature!

Requesting your Farm Town Start Date in the forum

You need to be a member of the forum and logged into your forum account to make a request.
We ill need your FarmTown USER ID to check for you.

If you have reinstalled the game.

Your start will be showing the date you last re-installed Farm Town.
You might be able to find an earlier date IF you have been a member of the Forum since or close to the date that you first started playing.

The date you joined the forum shows in the Mini Statistics of your Forum Profile and in the top right hand corner of any of your forum posts so may be closer to the date you first started playing.

If Neither of the above methods work for you, you can post a request in the Help and Support Section of the forum in the Thread titled Start date.

To be able to check this for you we will need your FarmTown USER ID. Please remember to put it into your post.

Remember: If you have ever deleted the game and then reinstalled it, we can only tell you the date you last reinstalled the game.
Each time you remove the game it resets the date.
