Is it possible to change my friend's email address without him losing his farm, please? It is registered with the new system but apparently clashes with another.

Hi slartismum,

Ideally he needs to post here himself so we can work with him. Has he tried to log into the website and is seeing Incorrect email or USER ID?

Those that have never logged into the website should have seen the new registration process in the Facebook version. That would have allowed him to change the email if he's seeing incorrect email or user id when he tried to log into the website.

If he's not seeing the registration process on Facebook and has already logged into the website, please ask him to log out of the website and try using his USER ID number instead of the email to log back in along with the password he registered.

If that doesn't help either he needs to either post here himself with his USER ID so we can take a look or he can contact the support team.

So, I am attempting to access an account on the new website however the password is incorrect. I went to the Slashkey.com site and clicked on the Play in Facebook button. Once I got into my account, I changed the password. I then reloaded the game, expecting to see the window where it wants me to register the email and password. Nothing showed. I then tried logging into the account on the new site and I was unable to.

Hi Rockcandymoutntain,
I moved your post to the thread about the website registration

It sounds like you changed your Facebook password. That account username and password do not have anything to do with the Website password and username/email address. If you changed your password in Facebook then it will not trigger the registration for the website.

We will need the account ID for that set of farms to be able to check this for you.

Taz, I went into that account using facebook, I changed the email address also. So now it should have a new email and password. I had expected that while in facebook I would have gotten the window to register that new email. Nothing came up. That user ID is 118475457760752

Hi Rockcandymountain,
You only changed the login for that account in Facebook. That has nothing to do with registering for the web site.

As this is brand new level 1 account you will not see the registration for the website until you level it up to level 21.
This is stated in the web Guide:
You need to have reached Level 21 in FarmTown using Facebook
before you will see any Registration methods in the Facebook version of FarmTown.

Apologies if this is not the appropriate thread.
My husband had his account hacked and despite efforts to get it sorted he's given up!
As he registered his farm and password he can still work most things on the new website.
Going forward will he always be able to farm or will the final break from Facebook cause his farms to disappear.
He's wodering whether it would be better to start over with his new FB account.
