This thread is for reporting problems with animals.
Please read the following information BEFORE posting in this thread. Thank you.

Before posting a general question please check the Game Guide : Chapter 12 - Animals

Animals on display can be a huge drain on resources so don't place a lot of them on your farm. If you are buying animals to put into animal sheds we suggest you don't buy more than 100 of any one animal at a time, before storing them, especially if you have an older computer as those will have more problems loading animals on display. It’s always best to place the animals into their relevant buildings wherever possible. You will need animals in your animal sheds to harvest the animals for their products to sell at market or to use in your facilities.

There are two options to help with loading issues on farms with many animals:

• In your game preferences, check the box next to “Freeze Animals” option.
• When hired to work, you can also deselect the “Show Animals when Not At Home” option.

You can have 250 animals of each kind in their respective regular buildings or 500 of each kind in the super buildings.

You can have one of each type regular OR super animal shed on each of your farms NOT both.



Animals from the cattle car train get sent to your Item storage, from there you can place them directly into their buildings using the move feature.

You can change the behavior of whether animals are free to move around the farm or are static. To change the setting go to the farm then click on the name of that farm at the top of your screen and you will be able to select either Always Freeze Animals on this Farm OR Never Freeze Animals on this Farm. Please remember that a considerable amount of animals on a farm, not in buildings can make that farm slow to load.


Solutions for problems moving animals or other items:

1. https://r1.slashkey.com/images/gameg...ellow hand.png If you are trying to highlight an animal to move it or store it and it won't highlight, it might be because it is too close to other items or sitting on top of growing crops that are visible. Hide everything in your preferences and then open your yellow toolbox and click on the Yellow Edit Hand. Try to move it with that. If you are wanting to store it, move it to a clear spot then try to store it.
2. https://r1.slashkey.com/images/gameg...o building.png If you are trying to add animals to buildings and are having trouble clicking on them.... Try using the "Add Animal to Building Tool" located in your extended tool box.

Type in the name of the animal, then choose the option "Hide Non-matching Items". Everything except the animal you are searching for will now be hidden. You can then either click on the animals to add them to your buildings or try the Add Animal to Building Tool again. Once you are done click on "Show Items" bottom right of your game screen to bring the other items back into view or you can reload the farm.

3. https://r1.slashkey.com/images/gameg...ences Icon.jpg In your "preferences" deselect all the options for "show trees, buildings, flowers, decorations" etc, then refresh the farm and try moving the animals again.
4. If you are in full screen mode, return to normal screen. Zoom in as close as possible to the animal before trying to move.
5. Try clicking on the animal/item even if it doesn't get highlighted - most times you will activate the menu to move it.
6. Try deselecting the "Freeze Animals" option checked in your Game Preferences. This could cause the highlighting option to fail when moving your cursor over them. It will also allow the animals to roam to another part of your farm (away from crops, buildings, fences etc) where it will be easier to highlight. Remember to change the setting back when you are done, if you wish to.
7. Close Farm Town, clear browsers cache and try again.
8. Often if you are having issues clicking on an item, or getting the drop down menus to function, it is a symptom of having an old version (or corrupted file) in your flash player. Go to the adobe com site and use their uninstaller to uninstall your flash. Then, after clearing your cache and rebooting your computer (to get rid of any remnants), go back to adobe.com and install the latest available version of the program.

hello.

try as i might, the game wont' let me harvest white rabbits that i have stored in the rabbit hutch. green words "ready to harvest." hit play. logged out, back in. etc etc. looked at the question mark and everything i can click.

i concede. HELP!

When did you add the rabbit hutch and white rabbits? When you first buy the rabbit hutch it will tell you "ready to harvest" until the first time you can harvest them and after that will show the time. The rabbit hutch can only be harvested every 2 days.

hello. thanks, that is probably what it is. i wouldn't have made a post but i needed the fur for a quest and it was holding things up. not sure what day i bought it but i will wait until weekend and see what happens. thanks as usual. :)

Super Stable issue!

I'm sorry there was no one here to be able to answer you.

I'm glad you found the information but let me clarify something for you.

You dont own a Super Stable. Your data shows you have Regular stables, one of them costs 25 farmcash and the other costs 28 farmcash. The Super Stable costs 50 farmcash.

Both regular stables can be filled with 250 horses and 250 Clydesdale. The Super Stables double that amount of animals and can be harvested in 8 hours instead of 2 days.

You are right about how they show in the Facility Manager and on the farm.

If you have the regular stable which costs 25 cash on the farm then the Facility manager will show up the regular stable which costs 28 farmcash and viceversa.

Lost animals
 

I had a lot of animals outside. They are gone! Will I get them back? On my !st farm I had 45 pigs in a pen they are gone. On 3 farms I had on each farm 50 rabbits they are gone! Also had a few peacocks in a pen they are gone!

The graphics for the animated animals have not beemn added in the game yet. When they are your animals will come back.

I have been harvesting animals on Farm one since I found we could. I did not see anything that said they were being harvested. I checked my stable this morning writing down the amount I had. I harvested it but nothing showed again. When I checked to see if anything went into storage it had not. Same amount of horse feathers as I wrote down. Please let me know what to do to fix this. I have done the FT memcache several times. I am sure I am getting nothing. Same on the hen and wool - have not located the dairy yet. tty so much!!!

I am not getting harvests from any of my animal buildings. When I c lick on harvest whatever is in dairy, hen, and wool buildings - it does not show anything harvested. I wrote down hen before I harvested today - it did not change after. I refreshed the game and it did not change. I went out completely and came back in and it changed.

I moved your posts to the thread about Animals.

We are aware of the animal sheds on farm 1, but they are harvested and the products are added to storage.

The only thing is you are not getting the message showing you how many products were sent to storage as you get in the other farms.

If you refresh the farm, you will see that the sheds on farm 1 shows up the time you have to wait to harvest them again.

About the products sent to your storage: take note of the amount in your storage before harvesting sheds on farm 1.
Then after harvesting them, reload the game and check your storage again and you will see they all were added.

On farm 2, I am unable to harvest animal facilities.

When you hover over the building does it say Ready to Harvest?
If so did you click to open the menu and harvest them? If so refresh the farm and see if they still say ready to harvest?


Are you sure it is farm 2? The ones on your farm 1 will harvest but there isn't any message showing how much you received. They do harvest and the products are added to your storage.

Selling animals
 

I have been gifted animals and I have no room in my buildings for them. How do I get rid of them from my gift box since I can't store them or put them on my farms. I don't understand how to go and sell them at the market when they are in the gift box.

I have moved your post to the thread about animals.

If you have gone to every farm and are unable to store them in any of your animal buildings, to be able to sell them from the gift box at this time, you need to do the following:

Open your Harvest and Products section of Storage, mouse over any item showing, doesn't matter what crop or other product it is, and Go To Market to Sell will appear.

Click on it and then the storage window changes to the window you would normally see if you were able to go to market to sell. You can then click on the Gifts tab to sell what is showing in your Gift box.

Super barns
 

I thought that the super barns were able to be harvested every 8 hours. Several times after being off the game for more than 8 hr (like sleeping) I find a couple of them still have at least 5 hr to go. If this is a glitch I thought you would like to know. If this was mentioned before and I missed it I am sorry for bothering you. If it is a glitch I thought you would want to know.

Thanks for the hard work to keep the game up and running. I know there is a lot to do and some ppl don't realize the magnitude for the job. Keep up the good work and I am sure we will all be playing full speed before we know it.

Hi County Girl,

Some of the super sheds have shorter times but not all of them. The only shed that is 8 hours is the dairy shed and super dairy shed. Those are both 8 hours, the super shed just holds more animals. The times are showing fine on those for me.

Cannot Harvest Dairy nor Wool Shed

This is a known issue and will be fixed. The sheds are harvesting but you do not see the floating information about how many of what you got.

Collecting/Harvesting Animal Products
 

Good Morning,

I am unable to collect/harvest animal products on Farm 1. At least it doesn't give me the message that the product is being collected/harvested.

I accepted a hen gift by mistake and the Forum says that I should sell it since I can't put it into storage or on the farm. I haven't figured out how to do that. Help, please.

If you dont have space in any of your chicken coop to store the henS, then open your storage and click in Go to Market to Sell button in any of your products.

When you arrive into market, click in the Gifts button, you will be able to Sell All for your hens.

I cannot harvest my animals in the facility. It was working up to 2 days ago. It shows how many to harvest but then says none available the 2nd day. 100008078508220

Are you trying to harvest them through the facility manager? Make sure you have the Animal buildings checked in the funnel filter there.

I just bought 4 white rabbits and a sheep. The game took my coins, but I don't see my animals.

The animal animated graphics have not been added yet, so you can't see them.

Someone pls tell me I'm not losing my mind....I bought a new "Super Stable" and I put the old stable in storage to move my horses to the new one. Shouldn't the horses have remained in storage? I looked for them there and eventually figured out they were ALREADY IN THE NEW STABLE....

Since you put the Super Stable on the farm before putting the horses in to storage then they automatically transferred when you removed the regular stable.

Where did my pigs go?
 

Two of my pigstys lost all their pigs. I have no more pigs in them and of course I can't add pigs right now. There are several others where I had them full before and they don't have many left in them now. What happened to my pigs?

I am sorry, but we don't see what happened to your pigs in the account data. I do see there are no pigs on those 2 farms in the pigstys. Unfortunately we have no way to replace those pigs. As they are gift only then the only thing I can tell you is you will have to get more from gifts. Even though you can not see the animals in the Gift box or in the My Requests you can still collect them from gifts and then go to the farms you need them on and transfer them directly to the pigstys on those farm up until they are full (250).

I tried to add my pigs to restock them but all it does is put them in storage and they disappear. I can't add them to my farm to put them back in the stye.
