How do I know if someones ship has been sent to my port?

I sent my ship off with 3 containers .... it got transparent. I opened it, and you can open the tab "Ships Logbook" ... it shows you every neighbor in the order that the ship will land on their farm. They will then need to open their Seaport Manager in the toolbox section to work your ship. Each port adds more goods. At least all the neighbors are listed. You can message them and let them know that your ship is at their dock.

2) on the farm like the trains, but unlike the trains you can move them about

Open your Big Yellow Toolbox
The Seaport Manager is in the left hand column between Facility Manager and the Co-operative Quest icons (at least that's where mine is)

Well I am having fun making a seaport - although its not great not my forte. And Im interested to see what happens to my ship. Once you have paid the one off for the ship, any goods are free so with the trains the cargo ship goods will be a nice bonus so Im a happy bunny thank you. I like the way you have organised the goods in the containers as well. Maybe we can have more seaport decorative items in the future like some of those crains they use that run along on tracks etc etc. I will put this bit in the suggestions as well but wanted to say a big thank you and Happy Christmas and New year to all of you.

depends which one you buy and how many containers you want to prepare, you can send the ship out with just one container or 10 containers, so if you are short on time, maybe just send out the ones you can prepare in the time you have available.. we will know more as we progress and hopefully everyone who gets a ship docked at their farm will help us by stocking it with the goods,

just a question re the ships.. do the neighbors who help us get anything for doing so? if not that may impact on whether they will bother to click on the Seaport Manager.

Very fun thing to wake up to! I think I'm going to really enjoy the ships because I work for myself - from home - so I can pop in and farm a bit here and there throughout the day. So I'm excited.

One question . . . are there any differences among the ships except the decrease in the amount of time it takes to fill a container? I haven't looked at everything thoroughly - just went and bought the yellow ship and started filling the first container - but just looking at them briefly, they looked the same?

I think its just the time... and the cost of course, I also bought the Yellow one as it takes the least amount of time to prepare, currently have almost 7 containers prepared to send, will send the ship when the entire 10 are prepared.. so not too long to wait,
