Default Buildings - Facility and Decoration Buildings

Hello Everyone, the Developers would like to thank everyone for the suggestions in the past , they have made a note of all the current requests and have asked us to reset all the top posts and start afresh. All previous requests have been archived.

Please continue to post NEW suggestions.

In another effort to streamline these threads and to make all members feel comfortable with posting suggestions, comments or replying to suggestions is not allowed and will be removed.

Please use this thread to suggest new buildings for the farm. These would be buildings that are just fun to have or new facilities.

when Farm Town first started you had a million coin mansion (you still have it) a lot of players had fun trying to see who get enough to buy one etc....

now a lot players have trillions of coins - i would like to suggest

*** some high end cost coin decoration starting in 250bil, 500bil, 750bil. 1 trillion
these could be buildings, people, flowers, trees, ground covers, etc...

*** some high end cost coin facilities - these can use existing crops that do not currently have a high demand (like those needed solely by cash facilities for example) or something like a botanical gardens, arboretum to use the currently not used flowers / trees

we need a oil field supply store, we have the pumping that produces oil, , it needs cupps, polish rod, liners, tubing, sucker rod and other things and we need a drilling rig, we have cotton, use the hulls for the rig, we have cement that we could use for mud, the metal mills could make casing , tubing and the sucker rods, plus the kelly and drill pipe, frank tanks, storage tanks, oil is always in short demand, t y 4 your time

"Super Facilities" or "Mega Facilities" where the input/output quantities are 2.5x or 5x or 10x that of regular facilities. High level players have so much production that these would provide a challenge to keep them full. So if a sugar refinery requires 2160 units of suagrcane then the "Super Sugar Refinery" would require 21600 units of sugarcane. Maybe these super facilities would just be for ingredients that are in high demand like the metal mill, windmill, sawmill etc

Please convert the Oil Refinery into a coins building.

As it's FC I assume the refinery was originally viewed as a luxury building, but as the game's developed, more and more products exist that require the petrochemical barrels the refinery produces. These products frequently turn up in quests and the barrels can be very tricky to obtain for the "my quests". Converting to coins would alleviate a lot of the frustration with quests that can't be completed, as well as helping new farmers get the fuel they need to progress.

(oh, and I don't care about the "sunk" FC, either)

Default Super Or Mega Facilities

I have a suggestion that would address some shortage I have experienced for a long time. A couple of months ago, the developers did make some changes and eliminated some shortages. Here is my ides:

Create them in the model of the Stone Windmill & Red Windmill example
That is to say, produce the same ingredients but increase the output and
allow then to be put on the same farms as their lesser sister facility.
That is real important.

The Facilities are:

01. Dairy Processing Plant (This is to look after the Cheese Shortages)
02. Sugar Refinery (this is to look after the Sugar Shortages)
03. Bakery (This to look after the Bread Shortages)
04. Semi-Truck Trailer (This is to look after the of Cabonated Water, Chicken,
Glycerol, Ham, Hotdog Sausage, Kevlar Fiber, Lamb, Leather Roll, Meat,
Pepperoni, Pork, Sausage Pack, Yeast Shortages)
05. Bee Farm (This is to look after the Honey & Beeswax Shortages)
06. Fish Farming Plant (This is look after the Pearl Oyster & Crawfish
Container, Freshwater & Seawater Bait Shortages)
07. Mineral Mines (This is to look after Silver & Gold Nuggets Shortages)
08. Open-Pit Mine (This is to look after Talc Rock, Marble Rock Shortages)
09. Textile & Spinning Mill (This is to look after the Cotton, Sheep, Llama &
Silk Textile Rolls Shortages)
10. Paper Mill (This is to look after Paper Roll, Cardstock & Paperboard
Shortages)
11. Sawmill (This is to look after Pine, Oak, Maple, Ebony & Teak Lumber Pile
Shortages)
12. Metal Mill (This is to look after Copper, Stainless Steel, Aluminium Sheet
Shortages)
13. Soft Drink Factory (This is to look after Farmerade Energy Drink & Cola)

What happens every month is new facilities are added and we don't increase the output of the feeder facilities to look after the shortages that these create.

I have one of each of the 13 facilities on every farm I have and they will be put on any new farms that are coming.

Creating the Super Facility would let the farmer choose how much each one needs to add.

It would also give Slash Key a new cash opportunity when creating this Super facilities.

If the Super Facilities doesn't fly, we need to increase the production or cut down the time to produce these ingredients.

Me again.

The Sugar Refinery really needs a makeover. It's huge. It dwarfs factories that make three times as many products. You did a great job redesigning the Dairy Processing place, so how 'bout the Sugar Refinery next?

Yes, me again.

I've been thinking about this proposal I'm going to post for a new truck and a new production facility a lot and it's taken me a while to bring it all together. I really hope Farm Town will seriously consider this. After all, even FT needs to do its bit for the environment.

It's a two-part proposal, the first is the Recycling Collection Truck, where the player buys a selection of waste materials for recycling, and the second is the Recycling Plant, where those materials can be recycled into products to be stocked or used in various service facilities.

Recycling Collection Truck

Works like the Semi-trailer Truck, and looks a bit like it too, except the cab is green and there's a green recycling logo on the side.

Products

Old tires
Aluminum cans
Steel cans
Plastic waste
Garden waste
Glass bottles & jars
Fabrics
Light bulbs
Engine oil
Cooking oil
Paper
Cardboard

Recycling Plant

Playground rubber [old tires] stocked in Playground
Aluminum bike frames [aluminum cans] stocked in the Bike World
Steel trombone [steel cans] stocked in the Musical Conservatory
Mannequins [plastic waste] used in the Baby Store, Kid Clothing Place & Lingerie Store
Compost [garden waste] stocked in the Garden Center
Glass Farmer Sculpture [glass bottles and jars] stocked in the Art Gallery
Rag paper [fabrics] stocked in the Craft Store
Glass thermometer [light bulbs] used in the Nursing Home
Marine Fuel [engine oil] stocked in the Marina
Biodiesel [cooking oil] stocked in the Gas Station
Toilet paper [paper] stocked in the Supermarket
Folders [cardboard] stocked in the Modern School

My fingers are crossed that FT may take up this idea, or some variation of it. It's been a long time in the making!
