Default Another platform? Facebook getting far too liberal for me.

I would like to see another platform that could be used to access Farmtown where I could keep my existing farms and get away from Facebook altogether. I am having a hard time reconciling the fact that Facebook and its founders support causes far too liberal for my beliefs. I do not want to support them in any way.
I have spent thousands of dollars and invested a lot of time into Farmtown. I hate to see that all too go to waste. But unless there is an alternate way to access my farms, I may be walking away and not looking back, much to the delight of my wife, who pointed it how much I have spent both in time and money on a game.

Hi mjl1960,

You need Facebook to get your interaction between friends and neighbours that are needed for the game. There is no way currently to play without it. There is Facebooks Gameroom, where you can play the game with less interaction with Facebook. It isn't fully supported, yet but that is planned for the future. It might be worth you giving that a try. Load your game from Facebook and you should see in the right pane the option to download Gameroom. That will put an icon on your desktop which you then use to get to your Facebook games like Farm Town.

You can play using Gameroom and never open Facebook again. But, from personal experience, you would rather deal with Facebook than Gameroom.
