I am missing the FarmTown shortcut on Facebook and any link anywhere goes to a notice that the page does not exist. Whats going on?

I moved your post to the thread about loading the game. Please read the announcement at the top of any section of the forums.

You and the other moderators may not be employed by Slashkey, but you seem to have an open line to the developers. In the past FT has frozen growth etc. putting the game "on hold". Facebook is like Apple, Amazon and Microsoft: a big bullies. It's their way or no way. The developers know this and they need to be prepared to make the game stand alone.

We still are not the decision makers. Whatever the developers decide to do concerning compensation, or whether they can put the game on hold or getting the website set up that information will come from them with no input from us.

Last time it happened, when eventually restored, Farmtown collected my personal information specifically to make it possible to continue playing off FB if FB is blocking the game for whatever reason again

FB is blocking the game. Where is the alternative platform?

Hi Spy,
The alternate website is still in construction. It is not just open up a website and you can automatically play the game through it. This is not the simple farming game it was back in 2009 when it was started. There are many complex parts to it that will have to be programmed to the website to allow us to play there. That is not a short quick fix. When it will be ready or when it will be activated for use the developers will let us know. Please give the developers time to research and figure out what caused Facebook to deactivate the game and see what they have to do to fix the problem and get us back to playing.

Looks like I just lost 2 Farm Cash.
I know you are not responsible Taz, but it IS very frustrating to those of us who diligently play the game, buy Farm Cash, etc and then the game will not load and we are left with nothing beyond a notice that the game is now up.

I am sorry, but we are all in the same boat. No one can play, so no one gets the FC for any of the quests or NCC. This was definately not something the developers wanted to happen or knew it was about to happen. There was no warning from Facebook before they did this.

I was not already in the game the last time this happened and thought I was losing 2 farm cash too, but it turned out that the game came back just on time for me to do a cooperative quest to replace a six day old one and then get my 13th completion. We really won't know what we may have lost until after the game is back. And I have every confidence that it will be.

My faith is not in Facebook, but in the capabilities of the Developers to address the problem. They are not happy either since some of us may have just been about to buy the new seasonal Farm Pass. 5 minutes later and this farmer would have!
