34 is correct, there were never 40. I never thought I would reach 34....lol. With the facilities, the exp keeps piling on.

Now thinking about it, 34 seems so small and so long ago!

OMG me either! In fact I can remember my HUGEST goal and at first I played day and night feverishly to get to level 20 something so I could get water!! I wanted the rivers soo bad! lol They were the cat's meow in my book, lol other than the red mansion. LOL even more funny was very first time I signed on and went to the store and seen the cost of a little tiny house, I thought good lord how will I ever have enough coin for that!!? LOL

Does anyone remember exactly when FT started? I remember when 34 was the highest level you could get, but I don't remember when the game first rolled out.

Yep, originally it was 34 levels - I started in early March 2009 - and I think it took us about 30,000 points to climb from level 33 to 34. That was a real marathon; I was so sick of the sight of grapes which was the shortest time frame crop at the time. We had to plow one by one for ourselves and wait while our avatar kept up with us . We really forget how spoilt we are now.

You might even of thought the avatar keeping up with ya all i a row was bad enough, BUT if you dared to miss click out of order!! LOOK OuT then the avatar would practically make circles around the farm to come back to the right spot. lol oh my!

yes, many a time back in the day when my avatar would take the scenic route to plow or plant a field just two places away from where I was... and for me it was the hedges, stone path and stone fences that I really really wanted!
