I looked to see what the Forum said. I will give more details. First of all, the Gifts Lifeline cannot be for the last step of the quest. Here is an example. Your final step is for making a Best Farmer Trophy. You have the Trophy Facility. You need a Clay Block and Ebony lumber. You do not have the mine or the Sawmill. Go to the Trophy Shop and click on the + on the Best Farmer Trophy and ask your friends to send you ingredients. When they do, the ingredients will be in your Gift Box. Store them. Then go to the quest and you will see that they have been checked off and you can now make the trophy. Hope this makes sense to you. Happy Farming.

Default Co-Op quests and FC Facilities

I have always loved doing the quests since they came out and more so the new Co-Op quests. It was also pleasing to hear that we will get some FC for our efforts, although the details of how much FC for how many quests has not yet been released.

I have quite a few FC facilities on my farm but this is obviously limited to how much I can spend in real money. I have already spent lots of real money (hundreds) on FC for upgrades on tools, gifts to friends and facilities important to me; but most facilities have had to take a back seat because tools are more important to help with time management in playing. This is more money than I would have spent on a PC or video game bought in a shop to play! FC is not cheap and it costs a lot to get just a few items.

I was dismayed to see that the last 3 Co-Op quest I have taken require me to have 3 FC Facilities; The Party Shop, Honey Shop and Casino. These kind of facilities often require another FC factory to make items for them and I see no point in having Retail Outlets without the factory to go with them, even though they are not needed for the Co-Op quests.

OK, so this week I have completed quite a few Co-Op quests, 11 in total but I enjoy doing them and the coins help towards my farm upgrades.

I'm just wondering was I unlucky to get 3 co-op quests in a row all requiring FC facilities that I dont have? I am now left with 3 quest for 5 days that I cant complete without buying them. If I get 2 more quest like these then I wont be able to do anymore until they expire in 5 days time.

I hope this isn't how they are going to run, because if they are, I am going to be bored very quickly with them.

This is a just suggestion for the developers. Maybe they would give us special FC half price "buying" days on FB or double FC for the same amount of money with limited time offers occasionally. Some games on FB do this and it's an incentive to buy and play. It would help to make FC items that little bit more easy for those of use who wish to buy them with real money.

Hi Rozee,
The quests for the co-op quests, just like the regular quests are randomly assigned. Unfortunately it is just unlucky that you got 3 in a row for facilities you don't have and they were all FC facilities. Hopefully that won't happen for the other 2 for you.
If you wish to make a suggestion please put it in the Suggestion section in a thread there that fits your suggestion. You can not start a new thread in that section, but you can reply to one that fits.

Thank you for your reply. I must be very unlucky since a new one this morning gave me the Travel and Luggage Store! Another one I do not have!

This got me to thinking how much would it cost in real money to buy all the FC facilities. There are 135 FC facilities. Even allowing for the free FC we get with the levels this would cost me about 350-400 UK pounds when buying the 250 FC at the current exchange levels. Not to mention that we often need multiples of FC facilities because they do not provide enough.

Then there is all the FC tools we need to buy and I really dont want to think how much more money they would cost in real terms! The reality is this can be an expensive game to play and we are being given more and more FC items to buy and play it as it should be.

Don't get me wrong, this is a game that over the years I have enjoyed playing and have continued with it, but it's getting more and more difficult to play as we require to shell out more real money to enjoy the many aspects or not play them to the full.

I feel that eventually the game will become "boring" for me because when you are at the top level it's harder to "achieve". Isn't that why most of us play games, to feel we are achieving something? Getting a new item for me, be it for FC or Coins, a facility or tool to help and further me in the game, or even a FC decorative item makes the game fun for me.

I dont have any problems with the developers putting FC facilities into the mix of Quests, but it has to be in proportion, and getting 4 quests all requiring FC Retail facilities and with them taking so long to expire is going to take the fun out of playing them.

**update** to my previous message. Took my 5th and final Co-op quest it was a for another FC facility. The Perfume Factory. At least I had this one and could complete but I think this says it all. This will be my final and last Co-op quest. Seems very strange after completing 11 Co-Op quests that all I have left are quests that require farm cash facilities

FC is not enough incentive to do things on Farm Town. It's not just about getting FC it's about making the player feel good about playing the game.

Wow I never counted up how many FC facilities there are in the game. Add to that all the FC tools heavens. TYVM for telling us how many there are because now I KNOW I'll not be buying the last 2, Dessert and Brazilian restaurants. The number of tools I have that are costly as well as the 131 out of the possible 135 FC facilities has me putting the brakes on spending more.

You mentioned not having FC facilities, I have to chuckle at myself here because 1 week I had the following.....2 regular quests that needed the animal cure facilities and 3 CoOp quests that needed the same ones. Decided long ago not to purchase those due to the short growth rate of the crops needed as well as initial costs for them verses the poor coin return.....OH and YES they may be random BUT there really should be a way to get rid of them off the board as well I agree with you on this point.

Good luck to you with your further quests and again I say TYVM for taking the time to count up those facilities for us. Due to my age, health, and fact am retired the only game I enjoy is FarmTown, don't play any other games. I have to rely on the monetary gifts my friends and family give me for Christmas, birthday, and Mother's Day to buy....plus any extra I may have at end of month so am very picky when it comes to tools and facilities.
HAPPY FARMING to you RozeeS!

No where was it said the quest would only be based on what you have the point of quest are to get people to buy or do things they may not already have or may not be doing.
I am on level 600 and I love doing the quests but of the last 12 quest over half of them are for facilities I don't own. (I have over 250 ) so would have thought that most would be for facilities I own or is this a ploy so I have to buy farm cash to get more facilities, as I am at the highest level it could be months before more levels come out.

Hi Renne

I'm sorry this has happened to you, but the quests are randomly assigned, the game doesn't "look" if you have the facilities for the quests you got.

I have had the same experience with quests of late.. so much so I am really not bothering any more. When 4 of 5 slots have quests for facilities I don't have, although I have most, including 2 for the same facility and not once but several weeks running.. what is the point.. and to make it worse we can't get rid of them until the time is up.. which always seems to be much longer than for the ones I can actually do.. the same has been happening to my neighbours so I know i am not alone.. I think we should also have the option to opt out of gambling and alcohol if we choose.. just like the option to not have funerals.. I have had a proliferation of quests for the casino and liquor.. I don't support these activities and have no desire to own these so will continue to have this problem... I didn't mind when it was only occasionally but when they are preventing me from doing anything else and I have the majority of slots unavailable for a week or more until they expire.. as I said. what's the point????
I love this game, it is the only game I play and have done so since it began.. but I think I will be going back to just being a farmer and forget the rest...
