i have gotten a lot older since i started ft and everything is more frustrating to me. For instance what is the purpose of the buddy list? How do i get buddies added? It would really help for us seniors if you would put a picture of where were are supposed to go on your suggestions and maybe circle in red where you are talking about. Please that would be so helpful.

The purpose of the buddy list is to have contact with more than just your neighbors. Since we will not have the friends we have in Facebook who play to be able to work your facilities,send and receive gifts, ships and trains then in the website then if you want to keep working with those players, if you have any then you will have to add them to your buddy list.


Currently the only way to add anyone to your buddy list is to meet up somewhere like in your farms, the markets or the inn and click on their avatar. In the menu that opens is a line to add them to your buddies.


The developers will work on other ways to do this but have not released any yet.

Good morning. Love the changes. I know I can change a Buddy to a Neighbor. Is there a way I can change a Neighbor to a Buddy?

Hi Early Girl,
You can add them as a Buddy first. Then in the buddy list you can remove them as a neighbor. Instructions on this are in the Game Guide chapter 6 about buddies:

I moved your post to the Neighbors thread as that would be the closest to what you are asking.
First question would be why would you want to add a neighbor as a buddy?
You would have to do it the same way you would add anyone as a buddy. That would be to meet up with them on a farm, or in the markets or inn. Then you click on their avatar and in the menu is a line to add them as a buddy.

can one permanently divide the farms between 2 SNs? like 1-10 for SN1 and 11-20 for SN2?

Hi Vonalm,

No sorry there is no way to do that. The only thing you can do is try to work that out with them to agree to only do those farms.
