Default Tomatoes, tomatoes .. my kingdom for more tomatoes!

Apologies to Will Shakespeare for the misquoted subject line .. couldn't resist.

I LOVE all the new enhancements and developments, making FT even more fun to play ... though it's much more time-consuming to get everything done ..

I noticed one poster here was pleased to see tomatoes gone from the gift area, but I wanted to add an alternative voice .. asking for them please, please, PLEASE to be added back.

Apart from milk, flour, sugar and eggs, tomatoes are one of the most needed items for other products (pizzas, juice and now ketchup).

Milk, four, eggs and sugar can all be gifted, so it would be great to keep tomatoes as a gift item too.

Milk and eggs as gifts help me keep my facilities in a working state without having to overload my farms with animals so slow things down to a crawl. And, while sugar is also a possible gift, sugar cane takes only 12 hours to grow.

Tomatoes on the other hand take two days ... and even with three farms to play with, I find my tomatoes run out fast, as I do need to plant other crops as well.

Another option that would help is if we could use cherry tomatoes in place of regular tomatoes to make the ketchip and pizzas for example.

Just my two cents' worth on the tomato debate.

I was disappointed to see that even my gifts of tomatoes and onions just disappeared too! So now I'm going to have to wait 2 days before I can do anything in my facilities. I'm pretty bummed, but I'll live! LOL

I agree I had baskets of tomatoes and onions that I had already accepted and were in my gift box. I leave items there until I am ready for them and then move them to storage. They should not have been taken away. That was just wrong.
