Chapter 21 - Tools

There are many tools you can buy to help you do things faster in Farm Town. This Chapter has posts which gives you details about each type of tool. All the links below are clickable and will take you to the post about those tools.

Some of these tools when used will also show an Eye bottom right of your game which you can use to hide items on the farm. So if something doesn't show that you think should be, check the eye setting.

Note: The more realistic eyes are have been updated to the red and black versions we had previously:

Click on the Eye to change the setting.

When the Eye is BLACK you still see everything on your farms.

When the eye is RED, you will only see the items the harvest tool can harvest, like fields, trees and flowers. Clicking on an item with the harvest tool will harvest the item then make it temporarily disappear from view, which can be easier for you when you have more items on the farm. When using the Herding Robot it will hide everything except the animals.

• Are there tools for working Overlapped Fields?
  Although the developers have provided tools to make working overlapped crops easier (often referred to as a form of layering), we are still NOT permitted to post or allow anyone to post the instructions on how to create them. Overloading your farms with more items than was intended to be there can still cause problems with loss of items, farm corruption, so you will not find the instructions posted on the forum.
  
  The EX tools for working crops are:
  • Ex Harvesters
  • EX Seeders
  • EX Combines: Harvest-Plow EX and Harvest-Plant EX.
  • There are no EX Plow Tools that will only plow harvested fields or plow new fields!
    
    Extent Tools do not have the eye. Instead they have a copy of the tool icon showing bottom right of your screen while you use the tool. Clicking on the tool icon allows you to switch between Highlight Mode and Extent mode. Items not ready to harvest/fish/chop etc will always be temporarily hidden while you use the tool and will reappear when the tool is dropped.
