Default Sending a Picture to the Slashkey Support Team

Sending a Picture to the Slashkey Support Team

IMPORTANT! You ONLY need to do this IF Support asks you to send one.

Support will let you know if one is needed and they will give you the email address to use themselves.

You will be sending it via email.

Before you take a photo of your farm you first need to CHECK that you will be showing whatever Support have asked you to show in the picture.
You may need to adjust your farm area and size to suit what needs to show in the picture:

  • Do you need to show Everything on the farm or only some things.

  • Do you need to show the whole farm or a portion of the farm.

  • If you need to show something small zoom in to see it bigger and if using the in game camera use the Window option to take the photo.

  • If it's text make sure that text is readable after you take your photo.

  • If you need to show the whole farm and are using the in game camera. Use the default Farm setting and the Small size unless support asked you to use a bigger size.

  • If you are already on your farm and may have just finished designing it, reload the farm or the game[/b] just in case anything is temporarily hidden that you may have forgotten about, and for any red squares that help indicate where hidden items are to disappear.

You can Refresh a farm without reloading the game if you have more than one farm. Look toward the top left of your game screen for coloured rectangles. The one with the yellow background is the farm that you are currently on. If you click on that yellow rectangle you will reload that farm. In this example Farm 1 is the farm this farmer is on.

  • Check your preference settings.

Make sure that you have check marks on everything that needs to show up in the picture.
The sections of preferences that you may want to use are indicated in red in the picture below.
Freeze animals can help to stop your animals moving if you want them in the picture.
If you make any changes remember to click on the green check mark at the bottom of the Preferences window to save the change.

Using the Snipping Tool on your Computer.
  1. If you know how to use the Snipping tool on your computer, you can take a snip of the farm or part of the farm that support needs see. They will tell you what they want to see.

  2. When you have got a snip that you are happy with, click on the Copy Icon.

  3. Go to your email that you are writing to support

  4. Right click your mouse and select Paste and your picture will be posted into your email.

OR

Using the In Game Camera and your Farm Photos in the Account tab.

Go to the farm you want to take a picture of.
You can not take a photo while in Full Screen mode.
If you try to take a picture while in Full Screen mode you will see this message. Even if you are not going to post the picture to Facebook you must still click on the green check mark to drop out of Full Screen Mode.

Remember to check if all your preferences are showing what you want support to see.

Click on the yellow toolbox bottom right of your game screen.

The Camera is located in your Toolbox in the 2nd column from the left at the very bottom. Click on it and you will be shown the Save this Picture window that has some options that you can choose to use.
There are 2 options at the top of the window. Farm and Window

To take a picture of the full farm you need to use Farm mode which is always set to default and has an orange background.

If you are posting to Facebook the picture will be limited to the size of the Facebook posting box, but once posted there, all you do to see it bigger is click on it.

These examples show Farm Mode selected and what using Small size looks like when seeing a picture of the entire farm posted on the forum. This farm is 60x60 in size.

The other option Window mode gives you the option of taking a picture of only part of the farm instead of all of it.

Getting a picture right using Window mode can take some practice with zooming the farm size and moving the farm around to get the picture how you want it, but it can be useful if you want to show only a section of the farm or something small that would not be easily seen in a full farm picture.

To use Window mode click on the Window button to turn it orange.

You will see a mini picture of what that will look like. If it's not quite right, click on the red X top right of the window, adjust your farm and then try again.

These examples show Window Mode selected and what using Small size looks like when seeing a picture of the a portion of a farm posted on the forum.

Below the example of your photo is the option to post to Facebook if you have a Facebook account.[/b]

The check mark must be ADDED if you want to post it to Facebook and you must be logged into your Facebook account to be able to post it.

Remove the check mark if you are not posting to Facebook.

Below the Facebook option are the picture sizes, Small, Medium, Large. Select the one you have been asked to use. If you have not been asked to use a specific size you don't need to change it.

Once you are happy with your choices click on NEXT.

The picture will be saved in your Farm Pictures section in the Account tab.

Click on the Account tab, then click on Farm Pictures.

OR you can click on this link when you are already logged into the website:
