This hoax is nearly as old as the internet, only the name changes. It just keeps circulating with small variations.


just received a message saying do not hire anyone named Beef Jerkey Roxxx!!!! (real name: Tanner Dwyer) He is a hacker. Tell everyone on your buddy list because if someone on your list adds him, he'll be on your list too. He'll figure out your computer ID and address. So copy and paste this message to everyone on your buddy list, because if he hacks them, you're next.

OTHER WARNINGS AND HOAXES

Along with the hacker warnings above there are a host of other hoax emails going around regarding both Farm Town and Facebook.

Our newest hoax is an email claiming that if you pass along an email with the word mansion as the subject line to 20 people you will get a free mansion. This is completely untrue. As with all of these please do not pass this along or report about it here in the forum.

Or this one:

FARM TOWN IS COMING TO BE A MILLION OF PLAYERS, RESEND THIS E-MAIL TO 10 OF YOUR BUDDIES AND YOU WILL RECEIVE THE DOUBLE OF THE POINT THAT YOU HAVE TODAY (some versions claim you will get a free land upgrade )!!!!

There is one more for which we do not have an example to print but it advertises passing an email on to X number of people to receive a free land upgrade.

Or this one:

Facebook is becoming very slow. History shows that the reason is that there are too many non-active members of Facebook. We will send this message today around to see if members are active or not. When active, please forward this message to 15 other users using Copy-Paste to show that it is active. Who does not send this message within 2 weeks will be deleted without hesitation to make room.

NONE OF THESE ARE TRUE



If you have fallen for and of these hoaxes DO NOT REQUEST A MANSION, YOUR EXP POINTS OR LAND UPGRADE HERE ON THE FORUM. There is NO TRUTH to these emails and demands for mansions or points or land upgrades because you followed the directions will be deleted immediately with no notice to the member.
