Yes, the animals do need to be on the same farm as the chicken coop, dairy shed or wool shed. The other facilities can be on any farm, as the goods are taken from storage, which is shared.

Their share is extra. :) Click on 'what's cooking' to see progress of the products, then any that are at 100% can be sent to storage ready for sale.
