Unfortunately this does not work for the quests that need you to load into a service facility. Some items load into more than one service facility and the quest does not make it clear which one until you have completed all the other steps. Only a pain if you have used a lifeline so i now don't worry about the service facility quests where it is not clear which one you require :)

If you click on the last step, it will show you what you need to make the item. However, above that, it says "see what facilities to stock with ....." Are you saying that if it lists more than one facility, you won't be allowed to load it in any of those listed? So far mine have only shown one facility to load it into.

I have a quest from a couple of days ago that I can't do due to it using a farmcash facility I don't own for the last step. I didn't bother clicking the lifeline because I knew I couldn't do it. I did a quest yesterday. Now today there is another quest using farmcash facility for the next to last step. The last one is loading a coin facility. I clicked on the lifeline hoping that it would be the work facility one, but it is the trading one which is worthless. Now I have another quest I can not do and this time my lifeline is going to be tied up for 6 days.

I only came back to the game to do quests. This having no quests to work on, does not encourage me to play the game and now having the lifeline tied up for 6 days, does not encourage me to play either. You really should let us delete quests we are not going to do. I would never use the farmcash I have for another facility when I already have more facilities than I care to load. If I was goign to spend farmcash it would be for something that makes farming either such as tools.

If you get one for Farmade to be loaded into a service, there are I think 3 different ones that it can be loaded into. However the quest specifically wants it loaded into only 1 of them.
Another example would be making flour. It has to be made in the red windmill and not the stone windmill.

I'm very surprised that you keep getting the same three or four over and again. I've done more than 60 on one set of farms and only doubled up twice. Even across my two sets of farms, I still have only had doubles four times.

I'm not sure how they set up the random draw, but it does seem strange if you're getting lots of double ups and others are not.

If you have used a lifeline on the one you can't finish you then have to wait for another lifeline ..... so it's a good idea to thoroughly check out a quest and see if you can finish it before using the lifeline.

We don't need a discard button, we just simply ignore the particular quest if we don't want to do it.

LOL and there it is right there Helen... I started a quest on my hubbys farm. He has all the facs and services right up until the donut shop release and the office one. He doesnt play anymore so thats when I stopped getting them, which was only the last release anyway. I started it not even thinking and got almost finished when i realised he doesnt have it! Didnt bother me but now I can see what people are saying. Its ok to let it expire but this one was a 7 day one. For all those with facs etc, we can get it finished, even if using a life line and then can pretty much get the next life line the next day. On behalf of those that dont have the necessary facs I think they r futher disadvantaged by not being able to use a lifeline for days on end either. I think an easy solution would be to not give a dismiss button as such, but at least give them the same thing we get by at least releasing a life line to them when the next quest is released. I believe that each quest should have its own lifeline regardless of how many quests you have going.. at least that way, the people who dont have all the facs and cant complete the quest, can go on and try their luck with the next one. I think it would save alot of complaints. I dont think they are so annoyed at not being able to finish a quest, but more so at the disadvantage again at having no lifelines for days. Just my thoughts anyway. None of this applies to me persay as I have all the facs and service facs.. im just playing devils advocate for those that dont :)

Useless Lifelines

I really like the idea of these quests but I'm really disappointed. I had to let a quest expire because I didn't have the two facilities that cost FC to complete the quest. I had tried using a lifeline on this quest but couldn't because I was given a trade and I can't trade for car air fresheners. So of course, my next quest required the use of a lifeline because I don't have a semi to order ham. I waited for my previous quest to expire, got my lifeline for my next quest and it was a trade!! I can't trade for ham in the market place!!!! Now I have to wait for this quest to expire.:mad::mad::mad:
Quests that require these things to be purchased with FC are extremely frustrating, unfair and maddening. With gas over $4/gallon I am NOT putting money into a game I play for enjoyment. These quests could be very enjoyable, COULD be.

Well, at risk of being contentious, the developers of this game make it for our enjoyment, but they also need to be paid to make it. Without them and the money they are paid we would have no game to enjoy.

Perhaps those of us prepared to put a little of our cash in to paying for that enjoyment deserve the higher rewards of being able to complete a quest. The semi trailer costs 22 farm cash which translates to just a couple of dollars in terms of real cash to pay for farm cash. The enjoyment of playing the game with fc facilities is certainly worth the little bit of money it costs to buy some farm cash.

I know there are those who say they can't afford any farm cash at all, but there are games in the real world that people cannot afford to play, so they simply don't play ....

I don't have the red windmill, the stone one works just fine in quests.
