Is there a way to search for a certain type of tree or flower to know which farm it's on?

You would have to search (magnifying glass in toolbox) on each farm for the tree or flower name.

That's what I have been doing but was hoping there was a faster/easier way to search all farms and I just didn't know about it yet. Maybe one day in the future... lol

There is also the Farm Stats tool in your toolbox which can help.
There some farm size requirments depending on what you are searching for and when you want use it to search what is on ALL farms.

Working in another Farmers facility
 

In the Farm Pass, it will have a quest like...Work 22 times in your neighbors milk plant. How would I go about doing this?

I moved your post to the thread about the Farm Pass.
When you work any neighbor or buddies facilities through the posts in the my requests and they have the facility that is required to be worked, then you get credit for working those for your farm pass goal.

i unload ships and traing every day but they arent counted in farm pass
